NEON has released a new trailer for The Beach Bum, starring Matthew McConaughey, Isla Fisher and Snoop Dogg. The trailer follows McConaughey’s titular beach bum Moondog, an aging stoner who slowly burns out across Miami while trying to write the next Great American Novel and running into trouble with the law. The film was written and directed by Harmony Korine, who also wrote and directed 2012’s Spring Breakers.

Actor Zac Efron turns over a new leaf as he transforms into notorious serial killer Ted Bundy for his role in Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. The biopic is scheduled to premiere at Sundance Film Festival over the weekend.

In nine days, Netflix will release an original post-apocalyptic sci-fi film called IO, and they’ve just now unveiled the first trailer online. Directed by Jonathan Helpert, the film stars Margaret Qualley (The Leftovers) as a young scientist dedicated to finding a way for humans to adapt and survive on a poisoned Earth, which most people have abandoned for a colony on one of Jupiter’s moons. Her determination to remain behind is rocked by the arrival of another survivor, played by Anthony Mackie, and together the two aim to make it to the last shuttle leaving Earth before being left alone for good.

Aquaman was a smash hit, breaking records and becoming the highest grossing DC Extended Universe adaptation so far. A big part of that has to do with the film’s stunning visual effects. Although director James Wan has made it explicitly clear his displeasure of Aquaman not receiving recognition by the Oscars for its visuals, a new video showcases how much work went into producing the film’s VFX.

It’s a big year for Mads Mikkelsen in icy terrain, as both Arctic and Netflix’s Polar see him stranded in the cold. The trailer for the latter, based on a webcomic and graphic novel series by Victor Santos, has just dropped, and features the kinds of colorful villains and outrageous weaponry that should keep fans of John Wick sated until the third installment in that franchise comes out later this year.
