In this video, I share a variety of interactions between boats and great white sharks, including one accidental boat strike on a shark larger than the boat itself. A vast majority of boat owners are good people, with a true appreciation for nature, but a very small minority could probably improve their approach to respecting nature. Some folks have often claimed that sharks can’t get struck by boats simply because they either move out of the way or hear the boat long before it strikes. This video proves otherwise. We also examine the protections put into place for whales and how boats approach them versus how boats approach sharks within a nursery.
