“No Slack” soldiers of 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division get pinned down by accurate PKM and RPG fire in Afghanistan’s Kunar province.The troops are unable to gain fire superiority and are few in numbers on a remote outpost, which makes it impossible maneuver on the enemy. Instead, they call in artillery fire from a larger nearby base. They are able to “walk the rounds onto target” by relaying corrections over the radio to the artillery team.
