Talk about an uninvited guest at the Olympics. Friday night’s spectacular pyrotechnics display of the most watched opening ceremony in summer Olympics history attracted more than the eyes of over 40 million people. A clearly seen unidentified flying object was videotaped making its way over London’s Olympic stadium. What do you think it is?

James Holmes, the suspect in the shooting rampage in Aurora, Colorado that killed at least 12 people, appeared in court for the first time on Monday, looking tired, dazed, half-asleep at times and motionless in images broadcast around the world. A 24-year-old named James Holmes (seen above) sat up in the front row during the premiere of ‘the Dark Knight Rises’ in Aurora, Colorado, this morning at around 12:30am, put on a gas mask, dropped a canister of tear gas, then opened fire on the audience with an AK-47, a shotgun and two handguns. 71 people were shot in all. One victim was just 6 years old. Another, reportedly shot at point blank range, was 3 months old. Holmes was apprehended by police in the movie theater parking lot and did not resist arrest…

In a real life version of ‘The Hangover’ movie, Last weekend three drunk men stole Dirk, a penguin from Gold Coast’s Sea World in Australia.

The men evaded security and broke into an aquarium to steal the penguin, they also took video of themselves swimming with dolphins.

One of the men came forward to apologise for the prank and submitted footage of themselves from the night. Check it out after the jump…

While Odd Future were touring through the UK, Stephen Smith from BBC Newsnight caught up with them while they were in London. The report investigates the pop-up shops created by Odd Future as a way for the brand to make money while they give their music away free.

13-year-old Jeremy Wuitschick and 15 of his schoolmates were riding to school in the yellow bus when the driver started flailing his hands in the air and making moaning sounds. Displaying almost preternatural quickness, Jeremy rushed to the front of the bus and started steering for the driver, who was suffering from a heart attack.

“I knew something was wrong, it was pretty scary. I was just acting on instinct. It was all happening really quickly.”
