A zoo worker accidently closed a hydraulic door on a lion’s tail, cutting the end tuft off when the lion pulled it away. You will see blood starting to puddle on the ground.

This is the heart-warming moment where five friends link hands to rescue a puppy from a reservoir. The young dog got too close and fell in. The frightened animal was struggling to hold its footing in fast-flowing water – and was only inches away from a dangerous weir. Fortunately, it was spotted by a group of friends out walking nearby who staged a courageous rescue bid captured by eye-witness Marjana Khadreeva on her smartphone.

A Namibian man has saved the life of a baby dolphin he found stranded ashore. Naude Dreyer, who owns a sea kayaking company based in the picturesque Walvis Bay in Namibia, was filmed as he slowly scooped the mammal up and carefully carried him back to his proper home. The dolphin, a juvenile male Benguela dolphin, was still alive when he was found and there were no clear signs as to how he came to be on the beach. Legend.

Gator

Alligators in Florida are no f**ken joke. As you can see from the photo above. Hunters killed this giant beast in April, which some say was killing cattle. Now a 9-foot-long alligator was captured in the same Florida lake where one was found holding remains of a human body in its mouth, officials said. Lakeland police said the gator’s stomach will be examined to determine whether it swallowed any parts of the adult male body. If not, the lake will be searched again for other gator.

The last surviving 9/11 search dog Bretagne was put to rest after 16 years of tireless service. She was given full honours as deserved. She worked to exhaustion sniffing through the rubble of the World Trade Center looking for survivors.

A woman was walking her leashed dog when an unleashed Pit Bull attacked, biting her and her dog. The owner of the aggressive dog tried to help and was also attacked. Seattle police were nearby and one officer shot the dog. One woman was taken to Harborview Medical Centre with serious bite injuries. The owner of the dog was also taken to the hospital to be treated for bite wounds. The injured dog was taken to veterinary clinic to be treated and has since been sent home.

A great white shark captured in the wake of an attack on a surfer south of Perth has died and been disposed of at sea, Western Australia’s Department of Fisheries has confirmed. The 4.2-metre shark was caught on a drum line close to where 29-year-old Ben Gerring was attacked at Falcon Bay beach in Mandurah. Mr Gerring lost a leg above the knee in the attack and he remains in a critical condition in Royal Perth Hospital. Everyone here at Shock Mansion hopes he can pull through and make a speedy recovery.

A giant alligator took a stroll across the fairway, making his way to the lake beside the third hole at Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Florida. This is for all the haters who think golf is boring. Not many sports have the risk of getting eaten alive!

Meet the household that sits down to dinner with a bear at the table. Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko, from Russia, might seem the ordinary couple, keep a 23-year-old bear named Stepan as their household pet. At more than 7ft tall, Stepan is so domesticated that the family have been known to sit down in the evenings to watch the television together and he even steps in to help with household chores by watering the plants.

A 4-year-old boy slipped through the gorillas barrier at the Cincinnati zoo, falling into the water below. The silverback alpha male began dragging the boy around like a toy. After about 10 excruciating minutes, witnesses said, zoo workers shot and killed the animal, named Harambe. The boy was hurt but not severely.
