Book A Stay – The Stunning Elevated Norwegian Cabins With Snow Forest Views Are Breathtaking.

Norwegian architect Espen Surnevik has taken the age-old concept adopted by civilisations throughout history and flipped it into a modern minimalist home.

Inspired by common forest fire lookout towers and late Finnish illustrator Tove Jansson, Surnevik’s designs will delight monochrome fans with their simple yet accommodating look.

Commissioned by PAN-Tretopphytter (Norwegian for treetop cabins) and located in the Norwegian forest of Finnskogen, these A-frame cabins provide privacy and solitude with breathtaking views of the surroundings. Made from black oxidized zinc and steel each cabin sits eight metres above ground, with steel legs driven six metres into the earth to withstand the harsh winter conditions.
