Netflix acquired the rights to ‘The Cloverfield Paradox’ movie, showed a 30-second trailer costing $5 million during the Super Bowl, then released the blockbuster-level film to their 117 million worldwide subscribers as soon as the game ended!

Out of the blue, The Cloverfield Paradox was released on Netflix this past Sunday night. Netflix’s first and only advertising for the film aired during the Super Bowl, and then the movie was available straight afterward. They changed the movie industry forever by condensing the marketing and release of a J.J. Abrams-backed space epic with a prestige-level cast into a couple of hours on a Sunday night!
