Video: Famous Russian BASE jumper and climber Valery Rozov is the very first person to jump off Huascarán in Peru, leaping from a height of 6,725 meters above the sea level!

Climbing the South Summit of Huascarán is considered technically difficult and dangerous, because of ice and snow avalanches due to its proximity to the ocean, high humidity, and low temperatures on top of the mountain. The long-distance and dangerous ascent to the South Summit of Huascarán took five days, with climbing mainly at night. This is due to the fact that at night the air temperature is much lower, and the ice congeals, which makes the ascent safer.
