Video: Lad gets his ride impounded for doing a “mighty big burnout” past cops in his “powerful utility”…And I’m about to neck myself over Australia’s laughably strict laws!
Drivers caught ‘hooning’ just once on a 50km/h suburban street risk having their cars permanently confiscated under extraordinary tough laws. The laws apply to any hooning offence including burnouts, driving that causes damage to the road or property, or driving likely to cause “harassment, fear or distress” to residents or bystanders. Drivers who have their cars impounded for 28 days, but not confiscated, will also lose them if they don’t collect the vehicle within three weeks.
