Set in the floating city of Columbia, a literal metaphor for America’s rapid ascent on the world stage during the Industrial Revolution, is the next installment of the Bioshock franchise.

Following tradition, Bioshock Infinite is essentially a first-person shooter. The game is based on a man named Booker DeWitt, who is given a job: Find a woman named Elizabeth. Finding Elizabeth isn’t the problem, she’s in Columbia, but nobody knows where Columbia is.

The first trailer for Codemasters up and coming rally game, Dirt 3, debuted recently on ESPN’s X-Games.

It offers a glimpse at several environments and promises the return of chilly weather effects to the series…well, right before a truck explodes and heats things back up. Dirt 3 is due in 2011 but I want it right now!

Capcom’s Street Fighter X Tekken is in development for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, making history as fighters from these two bastions of the fighting genre come together for the very first time. Utilising the same technology that powered Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4, Tekken characters such as Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams will make the transition into the Street Fighter universe.

Having been re-imagined using the much loved art style of these seminal SF titles, while retaining their unique characteristics and signature moves, the Tekken crew will go head to head with classic brawlers from the Street Fighter franchise in what promises to be the ultimate match up.

As in Street Fighter 4, game play will feature fully realised 3D character models battling for domination in both new and familiar highly detailed 2D environments that are brought to life with engaging animations. Street Fighter x Tekken will include Tag Team combat where players select two fighters to deliver knockout assist attacks and special combos.

2K Games, the developer of the award winning, genre defining Mafia video game, has created a limited Mafia II Gun Lamp to celebrate the upcoming Mafia II title scheduled for an August release. Limited to just 200 pieces, the gun lamp has been sent out to select individuals.

Each gun lamp comes individually handcrafted and number exclusively for the new action-adventure Mob/Mafia inspired title. Rapper Snoop Dog was presented with a Mafia II Gun Lamp when he lately paid a visit to 2K Games headquarters for a hands on preview of the Mafia II title.

Powered by the all new Illusion engine, the Mafia II will let the players experience the true evolution of the Mob game. 2K Czech hopes to captivate millions of gamers around the world like they did with the original from 2004. The title will hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 on August 24.
