Rube Goldberg Machine takes over an entire house

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

Here’s the craziest thing you’re going to see all week: a Rube Goldberg machine that spans the breadth and width of a whole house. It starts out rather humbly with an alarm clock and a rolling ball, but then all at once it incorporates golf clubs, a dizzying amount of tubes, darts flying between rooms, and a cellphone setup that — well, I won’t spoil it for you. It’s absolutely awesome.

The 8 Propeller Helicopter aka The HexaKopter

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

Potentially one of my favorite inventions of all time, the KexaKopter looks like eight propellers of fun. This dope gadget can fly for up to 30 minutes, and can carry up to 1 kg . As well as its unique design, the HexaKopter has GPS, and a built on camera to records its journey in the air. With the ability to move more like an UFO than a conventional helicopter, this just made made my ‘Things to buy before I die’ list!

Shotgun Revolver

Monday, February 15th, 2010

The latest accessory  for Taiwanese gang members are these Home made handgun revolvers using standard 12 gauge shotgun shell. The one you see here was confiscated from a 19 year old gang gun runner. Although this is not the first shotgun shell revolver, Taurus makes one called the Judge, this is probably the only style capable of firing 12 rounds. These are selling on the streets of Taiwan for roughly $7000-9000 in case your Dirty Harry .44 Magnum revolver no longer does it for you.

Transcend Snow Goggles with Information Display

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

Technology is going ahead and giving the ski slopes an upgrade with these $350 Transcend Ski Goggles. The goggles feature an integrated heads up display that can tell you your speed, altitude, time, temperature and GPS coordinates. There is also plan to incorporate trail maps, caller ID, text message display, buddy tracking, online statistic sharing and emergency calling. I’m feeling this idea. Now how long till they come out in matte black, and can i wear them while I drive?

On-board a Gyroplane

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

This Gyroplane, the Rotary Air Force 2000, hit the skies to find out if it was a complete death trap, or a bit of fun. Of course, if it is a death trap, that would probably make it more fun. Same goes with that rusted roller coaster at every carnival in the world. You don’t really trust it, but the sound of splitting wood at each turn makes it all the more exciting.

Welcome to a new age of a no privacy world. Suppose this means I need to start wearing underwear, or not…
