Footage of the incident shows the man, identified as 28-year-old Christopher Rivas, walking up to the front of the police station in West Covina, on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Rivas begins swinging the baseball bat he is carrying, striking the windows at the front of the station. An officer who was outside the station then spots Rivas and tackles him from behind. The impact sends Rivas and the officer sprawling into the police station lobby, where Rivas is pinned to the ground and arrested.
