‘Alive’ is a cool little snowboard film featuring The Burn Units, a rider-led initiative headed by the legendary Austrian snowboarder Gigi Rüf, Norwegian freestyle prodigy Ståle Sandbech and ultra-smooth French sensation Arthur Longo.

Filmed in Vorarlberg, Austria at Gigi’s uncle’s cabin last December, this projects was a pretty large production, shooting back country action by electric light and moonlight. As Director Per-Hampus Stålhandske put it, “there are so many things that can go wrong when you make a snowboard film: the weather, the snow, the light, the riders… adding darkness and studio lights to the mix was a huge risk, but mother nature was with us every step of the way. An amazing experience.”

Although rare, it is known for animals to be born with two heads. It has even happened to large farm animals such as two-headed cows, sheep and pigs. However, these animals normally only survive for a short time.

On the other hand, two headed reptiles have been known to live for as long as 20 years. There are a number of two headed snakes on display in zoos and even private residences around the world. As they share one body it doesn’t matter which head eats, but owners try to feed both heads so neither feels left out. Freaky!

Here at Shock Mansion we fairly obviously love tattooing. So we decided to create a little inspiration post for all the tattoo lovers out there. This is something we’ll probably do more of in the future, showcasing amazing artwork and the artists behind them. Enjoy.
