Aussie skater and X Games medalist Jake Brown is known for going big. Turning pro in 1997, Jake has made his way from competing in Australia to now living in California. By now, everyone would have seen what was called ‘the heaviest slam in skateboarding history’, which lead him to be nominated for the 2008 MTV’s ‘Television Moment Award’. Jake Brown: Chillin cuzin, howz it?

Shock Mansion: Sweet dude, what are your plans for today?

Jake Brown: Its 11pm not too sure yet, havin a beer with the roomies.

Shock Mansion: Can you tell us a bit about your ink, and if you’ve got anything new in the works?

Jake Brown: I got US 100 dollar bills on fire, I got that in AmsterDAAAAM, and a boxing kangaroo that Kat Von D did, both join to make a sleeve, if i get more, im going to get a bunch of different currencies joining the fire

Shock Mansion: What are your thoughts on Vert being pulled from the X games?

Jake Brown: Its pretty funny because they said they were going to pull it, and all the mega ramp (big air what evers) said there gunna boycott, so a day later they said looks like verts in haaaaaaaaaa.

Shock Mansion: What’s in your pockets right now?

Jake Brown: Nuthin just showered

Shock Mansion: Can you tell us your favourite spot to skate in the world?

Jake Brown: The china park in Shanghai is pretty tight, DC ramp is amazing, we gunna have a monster park soon that will kill everything!

Shock Mansion: We are having a house party dude, what do you want to see the fridge full of?

Jake Brown: VB, Coopers, Petron Silver, Grey Goose Vodka and some champagne for the girls.

Shock Mansion: What have you got planned for the rest of the year, any comps or video parts?

Jake Brown: Maloof Money Cup july 11th thru to the 13th in Orange County, X Games, Blind video.

Shock Mansion: Which tunes have been blasting in your ipod/CD player/car?

Jake Brown: Andrea Nikatina all tracks, Groove Armada, Daft Punk, just got a DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist mix tight.

Shock Mansion: What do you miss about Australia when your not here?

Jake Brown: Family, friends, good beer, Bondi, good food, clubs and parties.
